I'm very nervous that my department may be the next one on the chopping block. I truly don't understand what the management's criteria is for letting people go. It seems pretty random. Some people with a lot of seniority (higher pay) are laid off and also some brilliant younger employees who probably don't make as much. I don't know what to make of it. This is not the first round of layoffs at Avid, but it hits home closer for sure.

I hate how they do this - last year a friend of mine was let go on the same day when her boss told her that she's safe. Where is integrity and logic there...
