They will be trimming the SE team in North America. They will not have specific verticals anymore just people covering specific territories. It's going to be a mess between Feb & June. I've heard from internal sources who are much hire up in the ladder that there are about 1000 more cuts coming up in the next few months.

pouring $$ into NSX and Airwatch, pulling out of the others. Watch the release cycle for vSphere and features introduced for an idea how it is doing.

There has been some other streamlining, but from other internal functions. No need to panic.
nsx, airwatch, euc are the next targets. vsphere is safe.
A million dollar question - I think they will go after R&D but in a more orderly fashion. I have no insider info and this just a gut feeling (they cut downstream, they will move up now)
