Impact is coming in the following weeks from meeting today. The letters will be delivered in India this week.
No significant impacts in ASIA. I hear rumors of couple of impacts here and there...
I still haven't receive any new yet. (Asia)
Do we know which Businesses are most impacted apart from IT ?? What is the impact in India and in Singapore ??
I heard that we might not be getting letter next week.
Top managers are leaving today, but still no news on our future (Asia)...

I think last filing by Avago to SEC is on 1st Feb 8:00 AM PST. Hence in Asia Feb 1st business day would have been closed. The effective new company date becomes 2nd Feb in Asia. I'm not sure of letter though

How did they deliver the news?
I'm part of the 1st wave of layoffs starting at the HC in Irvine, my last day is Jan 29th. Others in my group have been offered up to 6 months to 18 months but will all be gone by the end of the 18 months. The package was u get 60 days of pay and then you get 4 weeks + 1 week per year that you work at Broadcom. Good luck to all
I don't think this assumption is accurate. Not very optimistic. So functional manager will know by Friday? Asia time or US time?
I assume whoever on transition have been informed; so whoever haven't got it till now, should be welcome to new Broadcom for now !!
All functional manager will get information by Friday. Email and documents pushed to cloud on Monday. Tuesday plan on getting to work late and find people in the hallways talking about who stays and who got notice. Then take the rest of the day off to assimilate and plan your transition.
I just want to know if i will be on transistion or on day 1 so that I can have further planning. Why they are keeping so long to release the information to us?!
I think it would be just a welcome to new Broadcom e-mail from CEO on 1st Feb... saying happy to see you all in new Broadcom. We are much stronger than earlier and we have a bright future ahead of us. Request everyone to contribute wholeheartedly blah...blah... You can check what Avago-LSI employees got when the merger happened. It would be on similar lines.
All the people was mentioned the letter will be release on 1st Feb. It's doesn't matter a letter or an email, it all about the contents of it...
