Thread regarding Chaparral Energy layoffs

The King Has No Clothes

And so the debacle continues. The curtain has been pulled back and the King pulling the levers has no clothes after all. Chaparral is in the 11th hour of its life cycle and sadly, the hard working people are suffering rather than the buffoons at the top. Like a wild animal in a bear trap, they are doing everything possible up to and including, "chewing off their legs to save themselves". The chicanery promoted by these incompetent buffoons is "out of the closet". In the end, they will not be saved themselves because if you do not know where you are going, any road will get you there. Long Live The King !

You can be sure, those at the top will retire with filled pockets. Even more full than now! They paid big bucks for a "TEAM" to come in and tell they how much to remove to keep those pockets filling. Each layoff package is less than the previous! So sad! I feel for the remaining employees and the laid off employees. It's a sad time in O&G History. It's a sad time for Chaparral history! When it started out, it was a wonderful place to work.

Judge, you do not know what you are talking about. Let me be clear, bankruptcy is on the horizon for Chaparral...the only thing you have right is the incompetence at the top...staggering.

FDLNU7U-rjh - Do you even work at Chaparral? "The leave the mid level managers" is unbelievably ignorant. Do you have any clue how many mid level managers have been let go? Do your research before you shoot your mouth off. The problem is they let the wrong people go, at all levels (below the execs, that is). Last year and this year, they either let people go randomly without knowing what those people did, or they targeted those who dared to question the direction the company was going (i.e. those who did not drink the coolaid).

They let go of a lot of good people. They leave all the mid level managers that are overpaid and don't have a clue on the work that is done. Makes no sense at all. Sad company to work for. I'll be looking to leave asap. Best of luck to those who were let go today.

Judge this is so sad. I have many friends working at Chaparral. I do not know a lot about the oil and gas industry, but I saw where Chaparral was one of the top companies to work for in Oklahoma ? Is this the chicanery by buffoons at the top?
