Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

Folks, this is not the end of the world...we will all recover from all of this.

The health insurance expired midnight (the day I got laid off). Took money out of the health savings account and paid for COBRA (was about $1200.00 a month for family), until I found a job by the Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ.

Folks, this is not the end of the world...we will all recover from all of this. Keep your focus on your family, polish your resume', update your linkedin account, network with folks and pray for wisdom and guidance from GOD.

May He bless us all and draw us closer to Him, thro' all of this!

You know that saying....if you think you can or can't, you're gonna right? That is for every age male/female out there. For most of us, if we feel something even better will come from this, our chances are excellent in seeing that happen. if you have to face something unexpected, doesn't it help to think the next step may be short of a miracle for many but things will work out? We don't have control over such huge changes but we can control how we accept it!

Believe me, there are worst things in life besides having your health, family, loved ones with you and encouraging you each day!

Wrong. This will be a life-changing event that many will never recover from. The young may be able to rebound, but the older members of the DVN workforce who are let go are in for the shock of their lives.
