They have started meeting with folks in Inside Sales/Management - Severance discussed, in line with what was reported earlier last week here... I think they are looking at performance as the key factor in deciding on who to let go, do not have more details, my husband works there and I am not with the company... Overall, it's calm, but there is a lot of anxiety in our circle of friends from the company.

Performance was not the factor, trimming jobs with heftier pay to make a sell off of VMware appear more appetizing was a higher order of magnitude.
What's in the package? I guess that's the only thing I care about now...
Confirmed Austin was a part of the layoff. Heard upwards of 20+ people immediately impacted. Decent package that has been reports.
