you people really hate on the ex service co employees. Did someones weird creepy uncle work at a service company?
Service company hires must go. Ex mud loggers must be fired without severance.
I agree and see it where I work too (20 yrs). It's sad but true the cocky ones appear to get ahead but that won't last. It is part of the reason we are in the mess we see now as you stated.
After spending over a decade at Devon. I can say in the last 3-4 years it seems that only cocky, self serving people get ahead and that is part of the reason this situation is as bad as it is.
Oh ... Don't beat yourself up about such behavior. I don't work for Devon but I'm in the O&G business. The attitude you mentioned is widespread and maybe just not in the O&G business. (None of us in the seasoned age group like cocky attitudes.) It's never too late to reevaluate and change for your own good. No one likes a cocky person and especially at work. Change now before it might be too late. Cocky, self serving people generally do not win in life.
