Devon is planning not to delay the lay off very long. In fact they have been working over the weekend to move things along quickly. I've been told by my HR contact that the ax will start Monday. Make sure you pack up you things or at least have a list of items for Devon to pack up. They are going to pull the bandaids off. If you get past the first round don't think you are safe. They will keep looking intensely until the end of the 1st Quarter. After that you can take a breath and hope oil rebounds. If not look for more and more cuts.

I am not happy but understand why. It just sounds like we are going to be treated like cows going to slaughter. We are told in a town hall and then hear nothing from the leaders in our department. We are told to take care for each other, but we are abandoned by them. There was nothing said by management in ESS. We where just left hanging thinking the worst. So I am guessing I am on the list. How does this illustrate integrity? Here is some straight talk for you DH, you're an idiot!! I hope your life is full of misery. Life for use will go on. I just know in the last 2 years Devon has changed. It is an evil evil company full of white males telling themselves how wonderful they are. I have a special needs child, who is going to them them that daddy lost his job and can't pay for their special care any longer. I need my job but i know you don't care. It you're in the Oklahoma tower and haven't gotten notice your moving back to the building. Also your supervisor didn't contact you after the Wednesday meeting. Lastly if you are over 55

I went in to get my stuff today. Something is definitely going on. Too many cars there. I called my HR contract and she would not confirm or deni as to the activities on Monday, but did say the posting are spot on, off the record. I am so upset.
