Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

OK getting screwed and some scummy people here

It really is unbelievable with a serious matter of families and more importantly the children in these family will be affected by this the type of comments posted. I got no remorse for the scums on this site if they get laid off. Nothing wrong with sense of humor to release stress but some of the stuff is just off the charts and really lowering the credibility of this board when people act like uncivilized juveniles.

No doubt those who are sharp and willing to look outside Oklahoma should get back on their feet in no time. Those who have specific skills just for Oil and Gas and were coasting in their careers not really making an effort in making valuable skill sets then you better hope you got good networks to get you a job outside the industry. I don't wish the slackers bad but this is where those long lunches and being a lousy teammate will bite back. Bottom line is the seriousness of the issue is that some folks and more importantly their innocent kids are in for some tough times for the long haul.

Oklahoma is getting double screwed before with all the earthquakes which we all know is due to fracking no matter much how much we spin it, we put up with it as the by product of the well paying jobs and comfortable living the Oil companies provided. Now Oklahoma is shedding oil jobs by the thousands and is left with all the damage done by the fracking with the increasing number of earthquakes.

I am here hoping things can turn around as fast as they went south if not for any other reason for the security of our children and hard working families in OKC.

It's 'fracing'. There is no 'k' in fracture.

Don't worry, the oil field will pick back up in 6-10 years. In the mean time, don't forget; I don't like pickles on my Big Mac.

Hahahahahaha
