Any word on what the severance package may look like? I know some companies like Cisco used to give 6 months plus benefits and others that give you a couple weeks.

Oil and gas industry package is way way better than that.
I have a friend who works for F5, he's got 6 months pay (he's in support) after laid off, he spent 5 years with them - they rehired about 8 months after and he got to keep his money - not a bad deal - it's not gonna happen here
@asg is correct, unchanged
@ivt is correct, six years is the magic line, you are maxing out after that. You'll also get 60 days on payroll for WARN purposes, during that time you will be covered by insurance and will get benefits. After that, you are on your own. Not great, but it can be worse.
My wife is in Oil and Gas and they have it much better over there, she was getting 2 weeks per year of service, it was maxing out at 12 years, so potentially you'd get 24 weeks of pay plus sixty days that's customary in-lieu of a WARN notice. They were also allowed to keep the equipment, phone, tablet, office phone and routers and laptops, not a huge deal but it was a nice move.
The benefits maxed out if you work there for more than six years. After six years, you will not get additional benefits.
Last year you stayed on the payroll for 2 months and received a week for every year you worked there . Plus benefits
