You lose in these ranking sessions if your supervisor is a junior, passive, or non-influential type of person. Those who have well-respected, strong-willed and influential personalities command the ranking sessions and get their direct reports the best raises. Who said the IPF Ranking System is supposed to be perfect?

No...it works perfectly for it's intent--to silently/legally send the message to those that be who aren't liked/wanted in the company.
