I doubt ExxonMobil is going to do any layoffs. They are sending all SYU employees all overthe world. With this field shut down they have a perfect reason to turn thier backs on that work force. Yet they are not. I see a severance package coming for USP. Get those out that have the age and years in to retire. ExxonMobil takes pride in never having to layoff thier employees. And on forced ranking; do your job or get out.

12 months severance is way too much. Be happy with 4.
So if it's forced ranking, bottom 20%, and four months severance, it's BAU at the Tiger. The bottom performers have ALWAYS been separated, even at $100/bbl oil
I worked for Chevron and got laid off this December. I will be getting 12 months salary as my severance payoff, as well as paid for my used vacation days. I am eligible for receiving unemployment benefits (6 months max) and subsidized Cobra medical insurance (6 months).
