Posted on SLB board - "I was a contract designer for a year. Left work yesterday got a call about 30 minutes later from my staffing agency telling me I was released. No one at schlumberger said a word they just worked by butt till the last minute, then had the staffing agency do the dirty work. I still have my personal belongings in my desk... Merry Christmas to me...."
It does not appear that SLB Cares.
Contractors cut first but employees are being slashed now.
I currently work for MI Swaco. When SLB bought us we were told we would see little change and be able to operate in the same way that made us such a great place to work. Not to mention VERY PROFITABLE. SLB has had us for about 5 years now and people HATE this place now. Those who are still here are looking for other jobs. SLB will destroy Cameron just like they did us. Good luck to you all.
Expect to be cut. Then it wont be that disappointing and hopefully it makes you start preparing your Plan B. I plan on being a full time referee!
