Thread regarding Cameron International Corp. layoffs

Schlumberger, Cameron, what next after the acquisition. Schlumberger has no intention of keeping Cameron Drilling manufacturing in the US.

They aren't a French company anymore. That's like saying your great great great grandad was Chinese and that makes you Chinese. Their corporate HQ is Houston and they are on the NYSE.

All I can say as a current MI Swaco employee is I sincerely hope that Cameron does better than we did. SLB took a highly profitable company and literally destroyed it. The corrupt Schlumberger culture was forced down our throat and now the employees that have not been fired HATE working here. Everyone is looking for new jobs out of fear of being fired any day now. We are forced to fall in line with ridiculous SLB procedures and policies. We were told before SLB took over that we would see minimal changes. My guess is that Cameron is being told the same thing. I hope you guys make out better than we did.

Agreed, very profitable. Would be a dumb move indeed, but have heard they are not interested in manufacturing valves.

Funny since V&M is one of the still profitable divisions.

V&M to be sold. It's being discussed heavily at high level.

V&M will be spun off. Likely GE or Emerson
