Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

Any women left in ops?

I know there was a female completion engineer laid off in Feb and 3 drilling engineers in the last 2 rounds. There can't be too many women left in drilling (if any) or completions. Not good for a company that likes to brag about diversity.

Anonymous204606 that's just crazy talk. You need work on understanding Marathon's core values.

Maybe Marathon should hire and retain employees based on defined KPIs instead of fixating on a "diverse" workforce? This would go a long way toward having an efficient and competitive organization. But Marathon has embraced diversity to the nth degree, making decisions that are not about skills, but about color, sex and race. This has led to certain clicks being established across the organization that has crowded out the good workers. These clicks will be difficult to dislodge as they are embedded like a tapeworm in the Marathon corporate environment.
