Not that Bob/203429/Calderoni - you'll get yours. Hopefully its in the form of your children hating your guts for the soul-less vamp you are.

@203385: HR offers grief counseling services. You should take advantage of that employee benefit.

I cant believe the cred you all give that tool Brian Madden. The idiot isn't even a college graduate, yet he can correctly predict the ways of End User Computing and the Tech industry as a whole? How much experience does he have actually building a product portfolio that not only provides customer value, but allows thousands of people make a decent living and achieve their goals and dreams. The answes is NONE. Madden is hack...a pundit...a critic. In the history of Tech, he will be forgotten and folks like Mark T that worked to build Citrix will be remembered fondly.

You then this new CEO has a vision for the future? No chance! He's got visions of the options he'll cash in when the stock price hits $100 and the golden parachute he'll get after loading up CTXS with crushing debt and a crippled product portfolio.

At least MarkT had a vision for what the world will be like in a few years and was positioning Citrix to get there. Now you get to deal with the bean counters. Good job tearing him down; you dont deserve a visionary.

I don't think there's a chance in hell that goto will survive on its own. The marketing costs to go up against webex and ms could only be borne by the scale provided by the xenapp cash cow. Eliott will end up destroying value

Unfortunately Mark was the builder of the company and its eventual demolition. He's a wonderful guy and I loved working for him but the company had no direction for the last four years. The total lack of focus on XA, the awful transition to FMA which turned customers away, the stupidly blind acquisition of XM (which was fine as MDM but mixed with in-house MAM was just shit) and finally the lack of a solid and consistent story on XS has lead to where we are today.

you guys need to look at the bigger picture. If they spin off GOTO the price drop reflects the value in GOTO that as it's going to be publicly traded. https://www.citrix.com/news/announcements/nov-2015/spin-off.html

In the long term they will will expect the GOTO brand to grow and also get more value out of core either by selling off more non-performing bits or making more redundancies later on to boost profits. It's ALL about the share price and maximizing share holders value, Elliot have said this right from the start and their plan is working perfectly.

Yep, MarkT was a major contributor to the Elliott thing, and if we really, really look at this shit objectively, would we expect Elliott Management to do any differently? http://www.brianmadden.com/blogs/gabeknuth/archive/2015/08/06/everyone-needs-to-calm-down-about-this-elliott-thing-citrix-had-it-coming.aspx

MarkT? umm, no...... he should have left a long time ago. lets not forget he was responsible for all the stupid acquisitions, the ridiculous two HQ solution, and for surrounding himself with bad technical advisers (many who came up through the H1b ranks). in other words, MarkT was a major contributor to the Elliott takeover and his own demise. dont get me wrong- MarkT is a nice guy but he should have retired in 2008 when he was perceived to be at the top of his game.
