What the high paid strategists didn't take into account when they sold out American Fossil workers was the impact those workers had through social media. Fossil sold out their workers and starting using very cheap parts and labor in making their products. In the past, this wouldn't be known for a while. Now though, a ton of people went to social media on the injustice of the layoffs and Twitter and Facebook is bombarded with Fossil's crap products posts. Fossil literally destroyed American individual and family lives and now Karma is coming full circle

I have to agree. Getting "let go" from Fossil has actually been a step forward for me. I now have a better job in terms of environment and compensation. The whole of 2015 I witnessed Fossil crumble under the weight of ineffective leadership making terrible choices. They sacrificed an incredible workforce thinking they could easily replace it with cheap labor from overseas. From what I can tell, they are indeed reaping what they sow.
Buying Misfit is likely a smart move for Fossil, considering their own entry into wearables have been rather pathetic. I do feel bad for the Misfit team as they'll now be subjected to the same misguided leadership from the clowns at Fossil.
I would bet that in the next 10 years Fossil will either go bankrupt or be bought out by some other company who actually knows what they are doing.
Getting the boot at Fossil was one of the best things that ever happened for me. I work in a place that appreciates me and actually live it's values. Fossil is reaping what it has sown for sure but people will recover.
Bro - do you really believe this?
