Wait until tomorrow. Layoffs that happened today were limited in scope - less than a dozen of people were affected - IT group only. I think that there is a general consensus that the majority of cuts will be happening tomorrow and you may want to check in early as they lay off people (typically) before lunch time. IT also has the most modern floors in the tower. Tillman should take his race car for a test drive through them. He just needs to watch out for all the people standing around and playing games in the aisles!
I wouldn't say our IT group is small. It takes up 2 and a half floors! BUT there were quite a few eligible in IT for the VSP that took it so that minimized those affected in that group today. Good luck to the rest tomorrow.
8 people were let go in IT, not a big layoff but our IT Group is small. I am not sure what's happening with HR but I can say that the OP was right when saying that IT had layoffs today
Today wasn't limited to IT only. Cuts were made in HR as well.
