This management in particular doesn't give a damn about the rank and file employee. Lot cheaper to kick me to the curb now and either move people around, outsource, or hire some amateur off the street. Marcelo is just the latest in a long line of poor CEO's who have made countless bad decisions that cost the company while they walk away never wanting for anything again the rest of their life.

Been here 14yrs and its amazing the down fall and how quick its occuring. Sad part is that NOW they are picking with all tenured employees they are either getting put on finals or either fired due to a broken process. Maybe its because they want to get as many people fired so they wont hve to give out as many packets. No management accountablity period. You cannot get a sup to take a call for nothing. But we are told to buy time with the customer and summit for call bck.. summiting for a call back will get you fired, but yet this is the process. This company has gone to shit. I will be shocked if Sprint notifies anyone before the end of the month. This company is shaddy dont expect to be notified for the full benifts until after Feb
started in 2000 with this company it was a great place to work, supported and felt like a family that cared about each other and looked out and helped each other. The problem at Sprint is that NO ONE wants to make any waves and with this new realignment coming we are being told the teams are in place and we all know they are not, but those who are saying it are Director levels who will walk away with big fat buyouts or severance packages. Those of us trying to sell an inferior product to prospects who hear nothing but bad things from their friends and neighbors it is only a matter of time that it will implode! When you stop spending money on the single most important asset, the wireless network and know that T-maybe has surpassed you and you are losing ground every day it is a very depressing place to work. They are setting unreal expectations in quotas with more than 60% of sales reps not making quota the new tact is to put people on performance plans to force them out instead of admitting the company is not going to do anything to improve the network and regions are losing customers and deals everyday to more expensive providers in some case 50% more expensive, but they continue to cut prices and cut heads to support a significantly lower profit margin.
Ultra depressing place to work. Newer employees get paid almost as much as seasoned ones. Employees are nothing but puppets for a Japanese company. The best day of my life was when I walked out after 13 years
I too had over 30 years of service and got the boot last layoff round. If you can find another job do it now before they put you out to the curb. The company will be totally outsourced at one point expect Marcelo and his chosen team will continue to rack in millions. They had the nerve to send out retirement information just this past week and had the nerve to say it is imperative we stay with Sprint as our carrier - uhm we paid $40/per phone and they are raising SERO to $60/per month per phone - by my calculations that is a 50% increase which is ridiculous - they will be losing my business
The customers are canceling because the service sucks and they treat us like crap. I hate this company and I wish I never would've wasted my time here. I'm praying to get laid off. I hate signing on to the computer, depressing, and no raises since the 2007. Awful company because they make dumb management decisions. See the layoff as a blessing and pray they don't give us that sorry ass package after 1/31/16.
I was with Sprint for 20+ years. I enjoyed my career and the people I worked along-side. I was RIFed in the last round. It was not easy to take but it turned out to be the best thing for my career and compensation package. I now work with great colleagues that are motivating and inspiring. My heart goes out to those who remain at Sprint and must endure the wait and see cycle ... again.
So agree - I had 32 years in and got the boot last round of layoffs - doesn't matter what you know as your line manager and higher ups are only worried about savings their asses
It is always nice to know that you are nothing more than a number and replaceable. This makes the environment conducive to growth beyond anything you ever thought possible. You can have the privilege to watch the in crowd promoted to their highest level of incompetency. This is all so much fun to know they succeed directly from your work and during curtailments, the privileged (ass kissing email forwarding loosers) will be placed in safe locations while you are allowed to take the hit. So much fun!
