What is the likelihood of DST Systems layoffs in Kansas City in 2016? Please let me know if you have any information.

The worst is that they never call it "layoff" or "down sizing". They have the nerve to call it "an event", like it's some sort of party! No respect for employees at all. Impersonal & inhuman. The result is always "do more with less & if you don't like it, there's the door"!
Just heard more layoffs in August and September of 2016.
I was a part of the June 2016 layoff. It was incredible impersonal and I let the HR gal present and my boss both know it. Rumors circulated starting in March 2016. If DST was 10% the company it was under Tom, they would have been stand up and notified employees back in March that it was coming. People were blindsided, and some left without a phone after DST collected them. Working there for 20 years, my first instinct would be to return. We were told we could hire back immediately. However, in my gut, it was a break up, and I never get back with past relationships that hurt me.
They started today! Looks like going for people that have been there for 20+ years KNOWING how difficult it is to find a job the older you get.
Glad I left in 2009!!!
Was hired in 1982. Could never give a good reply to anyone that asked " What do the letters DST stand for.
Was caught unexpectedly with about 300 other fellow employees in the Great Layoff of 2010 under new management
I now know what the letters DST stands for:
DON'T STAY THERE. !!!!!!!
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL CLASS OF 2016 !
Layoffs coming June 2016.
You want this a--hole fired? Organize and start a union.
I left DST because you're literally a number under Hooley. My wife and a lot of friends still work there. They still rank people. Nothing has changed. Hooley sucks and has little man syndrome. He says the employees are their biggest asset and two seconds later says employees are their biggest expense. India offshore is a joke. Look out in March 2016
He did it at BFDS for years. The most impersonal layoffs ever - if there is a case. I met Steve Hooley one time, and he was not very nice to me. He looked at me like I was trash. Pure disdain. Mind you, BFDS had paid for me to get my MBA, and managers had promoted me to a point to allow my path to cross.
I was present when they had taxis lined up at Crown Colony as people came in to work for one layoff.
I also was present when they decided to "tap" folks on the shoulder for a major layoff.
I also was present when they decided to do a major layoff, and they asked every manager in the company to "rank" each employee in advance of a Christmas layoff.
I left based on principle.
This man is the polar opposite of Tom McDonell. DST used to be a place that people were proud to work for.
DST always cuts payroll
Its a competitive industry. Dst has to watch expenses. Employees are an expense. If your cut, then Dst wins and is more profitable.
