What is the likelihood of VMware layoffs in Palo Alto in 2016? Please let me know if you have any information.

I just got laid off yesterday (11/17/2015). Layoffs are already happening. Was told it was realignment and lack of business in the region. Severance nice, but very bad taste on laying off during the holiday season. Q1 would have been easier I think. You can still apply and get hired back to another team if desired.

I am hearing the same as the previous post. Realignment initiative starting now with some groups globally. Layoffs coming fast in 2016. My hunch is right around earnings as they have done in the past.
According to an inside source, it's going to be a "blood bath" in Palo Alto as 2016 kicks off...
I am hearing any time now they will start RIF 2015-2016.
