I'd say senior managers and directors and above have nothing to worry about. They are by default full time overhead personnel. It's a policy from the ELT.

Many employees are now on unpaid leave just keeping their benefits. Leadership overheads do not feel the heat yet but their time is coming.

These rumors are all true, sadly. Although I did hear months back that we would be down to 500. Really doesn't seem like we are far from that.

Now - we are being cut back to part time status, in order to keep our insurance. I'll milk this until the end of the year. Take my 6 mos of unemployment. But thanks to a family member who knows people...I may already have another job lined up. Tired of this downtown commute and the traffic.

KBR is nothing it was before Stew came along. I seriously think he is trying to bring this company down.

It's working!

Retired in mid 2015, glad I got out before I would have been driven crazy by yet another period of massive layoffs. Of course, no retirement benefits. Spent 37 years with company (MW Kellogg origin), luckily they still had the 35-year Rolex award in place when I hit that milestone, that's gone now. I hear from friends there that yes, PTO and holidays are being slashed.

These predictions are coming true. Vacation time has even reduced to 2 weeks per year for everyone, and anyone on overhead has to use vacation. No holidays thru end of year - using Friday off from 9/80 schedule to cover, but everyone has to work Friday after Thanksgiving and Monday after Christmas. Everyone at company got this info.

A couple of very senior people that I know are being forced to retire next week, even though they are working on projects. I'm sure there are a lot more I haven't heard about.

It's all about the stock price, but it's not working. And CEO made more than $6 million last year!

So Anonymous, wife got laid off Thursday after 27 years. 4 weeks severance. Word moving forward is of 5/1 PTO max is 6.6 per month and no paid holidays (HR source who will likely be axed when this gets out). Fortunately, she can take a distribution, so we"ll be fine. As far as I'm concerned, She's retired. So we

are good. Oh and she's going to milk unemployment until the end. God Bless.

Latest rumor from two different sources is that downtown KBR will be down to 300 people by this summer. Backlog is falling fast and no new significant work.

Why do you feel sorry for the workers remaining if they don't get laid off March 31st. I mean isn't that a good thing that the folks still have a job and we are not paying for their unemployment?

Laying off at 601 Jefferson left and right. My wife's coworker, who had been with the company almost 40 years, got cut Tuesday with only 4 weeks severance. According to her sources, March 31st is going to be a very bad day for many people. I hope my wife is one of them, because I will feel sorry for those left behind.

Just curious as to where all the rumors are coming from

@ ex-KBR - I heard it was 300 just the other day - but if that is for the year, month of March, I have no idea. Lots of folks have left for retirement, found another job, or got laid off. Whether its 20, 30, 38, or 7 years of service....doesn't matter. If you aren't on a project and you're sitting on overhead charging...you're probably going to be out the door soon too.

They will be low ball bidding to just to bring in "some" money - no too concerned about profit right now.

We need more projects.

Bet no one is getting canned up in the top tier!

I've how heard three rumors this week, 300, 350, and 750 people. Presumably, this is from the downtown Houston HQ, but not sure.

Houston had a few layoffs, some before Christmas, some last week. Get ready, my guess is that layoffs will be continuous for the rest of the year.
