If this merger goes through , about 25,000 rite aid jobs are lost due to store closings
This was written by the Chicago Tribune: "Under Pessina, Walgreens has embarked on a plan to cut costs by $1.5 billion by the middle of 2017. Part of the cost-cutting plans include 270 layoffs at headquarters and other suburban offices."
