Outsourcing the work to India - IT is always subject to the chopping block. Ironically, State Street continually touts how it is investing in IT, but is really means standardizing processes so that systems/applications can do the work (i.e. automation), as well as outsourcing the work to India. If you are in IT you are on the chopping block, it's just a matter of time when the axe will fall.

I personally know of entire departments that were laid off and their work was sent to India. This has created many problems for the workers that are still left at State Street.
They outsourced so many talented U.S workers who knew the in's and out's of the computer systems and applications
People who had the drive and desire to resolve an issue within a 10 minute or less time frame.
Now from what I heard mistakes go unnoticed for hours , the Indian It support is useles and clueless as to what to do.
