Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

They sold a ton of schools

Are the staff too stupid to post on here about entire locations going bust?

The silence puzzles me as well. I am an activist and I have been tracking all for profit boards for a while. Corinthian and UOP were fairly vocal, ITT very silent indeed. We'll see what happens with DeVry once they start disintegrating (this is a 2016 thing)...

948 - Look at every other school listed here, all of them have people who are pissed off or happy or sad but they all mention when people get the boot. ITT went from 149 schools down to what, 130 now and not a peep.. Their stock has been decimated for 3 years and legal pressure is only increasing and still not a peep.

The staff at most campuses are so insulated from other departments, let alone other campuses, to know what's going on. Most info about closures I have found here, no one at work mentions it, I asked a few co-workers and they had no idea that several schools are teaching-out or closing.

It is weird, every other for-profit has people mentioning the layoffs and warning each other.. ITT it seems just dies the slow death and nobody says a word.

Actually, they tried to sell several schools a year or two ago and failed.
