Somebody mentioned that we may be good for up to 1 year - my husband relocated in Spring (we came - me and 2 kids after the school was over)

Have you received any paperwork? Any contracts signed before he moved? I mean, there has to be something - I am about to retire but I was offered to relocated once (this was early in my career) and it always sounded like a risky prospect. I am not preaching but I see the predicament that you are facing.
