How will these massive layoffs affect the US Navy and the NMCI support?

I worked NMCI & CMS back in the day. Had 12 years of service and one of the few leftovers that were actually based in the US. Thought I was ok since contracts couldn't be offshored.
They kicked me out and brought in someone fresh (younger) to the company making $30K less than me. (Upside-down pyramid i think it's called)
As many have said on this board. NOBODY is considered safe I don't think!
