Now that I survived the layoffs what is the appropriate time to wait to ask for a raise, since I am now one of the recognized producers.

You should be grateful you even have a job. Given the current climate and how the company is performing, that is a rather egotistical thing to demand. We should have laid off your sorry ass! You might think you're a "recognized producer" but wait till the next round of staff cuts!

Why don't you ask your colleagues who are now unemployed what they think? I'm sure they will have some choice advice for you.
