Thread regarding Deutsche Bank AG layoffs

2016 Layoffs At Deutsche Bank

PostBank will be spun off, that's going to offload 15,000 people. In addition, they are still messing and outsourcing folks on the back office side, Deutsche Bank has been doing this for a decade or so now. So, more IT jobs will be lost or transfered to Indian outsources or domestic consulting firms. On the Investment Banking side things will be much more consolidated, now three centers will continue to be hubs (London, New York and Frankfurt) - it's possible that some other Investment Banking ops will continue to exist but this will include very few smaller groups. When you sum everything up (this includes PostBank) we are probably looking at 20,000 to 25,000 layoffs that will take place in 2016 and possibly 2017. Add to that a few thousands that got canned this year (2015) and the number is staggering. As you can see the bank is going through a major restructuring phase and I do not see this (and layoffs) dying down any time soon.
