Following is what I gathered from different sources: 1. The process of "training your replace" had begun. But because of the Disney debacle, BD tries their best to use the manager or surviving employee to do the training. However, a small number of unfortunate people who had been targeted for layoff are still need to do the training. 2. Anonymous179123 had leaked some real information, he pointed out HCL only interest in 50 specific BD employees. HCL has the list of the names already. If you are not in wave 3 nor being asked to train your replacement, it will be a waste of time to apply for a job. 3. BD is not worry about the lawsuits too much, they believes the severance package is good enough to shut everybody’s mouth. But they do worry on two things: BD's reputation on using an outsourcer who is being investigated by the Feds. And the outsourcing might fail badly if nobody joins HCL. To other folks in this link, please correct me if my information is wrong.

They were using infosys and a few other companies on projects I worked on while I was there.... the one project as of when I left in May was ONE YEAR behind schedule. That was being done by an infosys contractor who always had an excuse for why his project wasn't getting done.
I would like to see this outsourcing stop. I would gladly gather peoples information together and write to local news sources and government officials. These companies have gotten too greedy, and it will only get worse if TPP gets enacted.
Sounds about right. I don't think the s pkg will stop some people from starting a lawsuit though. Careers have been abruptly haulted so they can save money and participate in the destruction of quality in the tech industry, all in the name of greed. I found out that hcl has worked at bd in the past and weren't very good. They will need training, or as they like to call it, a knowledge transfer.
I think they've been using other cunsulting firms in place that have been at bd for years. They have been training hcl employees and will continue with or without the chosen 50. I agree that they think the s pkg is enough to shut people up despite the laws being abused. They will find out in time that it's not. What's the dollar amount for what they are doing? They are robbing people's careers and ruining the tech industry all in the name of greed.
