Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK plotting another way to get rid of older employees 2016

New rule at Intel. HR is mandating that all interns who successfully completed their internships in 2015/2016 and who are graduating in 2016 should be given a permanent job in team, but there with be no increase in h/c POR. This means that managers will need to get rid of employees in 2016 to accommodate the new hires. There are around 3000 students who have interned in 2015.

Another sneaky way to get rid of older employees and replace them with RCGs. Way to go BK

@avu: Totally agree with you. Intel used to be a great place to work, with collaboration and teamwork. But with employees like @ozg, they would be a real pain to work with. @ozg: What site do you work at?

If @EYpARvU-ozg is an example of the people at Intel, why would any quality person want to ever work there? @EYpARvU-ozg comments all over this forum are pathetic. Folks, Intel isn't the only fish in the sea. There are way better places out there with way better people than this blue badge @EYpARvU-ozg Intel employee. I highly recommend you look outside of Intel. The @EYpARvU-ozg will make Intel fail eventually.

We know how to choose the offer that gives us the best career - Don't need any failed filthy old arrogant fart's advice on what is good or bad for us. You rotten creatures want us to stay away from good companies and suffer at McD making burgers for losers like you - who keep getting paid for doing nothing. Kick out the shitholes and give us the opportunity

RCG name-calling troll below (obviously). It will be interesting to see how many of the 3000 accept the offers. If they know what is good for their careers they will not. Working for a 47yr old 1 product company that is not serious about developing any other products and is being disrupted by "good enough" ARM CPUs (so far only in small form factors) is not likely to be a good career move. Also what will really be interesting is the long term disincentive this will create for departments to ever open up any internships. Do you want your job at risk? Then bring on an intern! Unintended consequences here are worse than government programs. Seriously, how long do these C-suite idiots take to think this shit up!?

Wow, good move BK. Old farts should be kicked out of their cubicles where they have remained snuggled for decades. Those buttholes will not by themselves leave such a comfortable job where they are paid huge money to do nothing. So, throwing them out like trash is the only way to get rid of them. This should also be a lesson for the upcoming fat old farts.
