URGENT MESSAGE: You jerk-wad Chesapeckers out there wearing black North Face jackets, your careers at CHK are coming to a screeching halt in January 2016. It is all over but the crying. Box up your things and get ready to vacate the campus.

All you people who had no real skills (other than waiting tables at Charlestons) prior to getting into this business better wake the hell up and learn a new trade. Same thing happened in the 80s when diversification became the only means of survival. You won't be able to get a high paying Landman job in the near future, those jobs are gone.

The new pool, 27 foot boat speedboat, new car and big house you have will kill you if you don't start unloading your debt. Remember Chapter 7 takes 10 years to be removed from your credit report and Chapter 13 takes 7 years. The glory days are over folks!

Forget bonuses, assholes, they are nonexistent at CHK. The easy way to make money is sell your lightly used, upside down Beamers and Lexuses to Scooter for 40 cents on the dollar. Scooter and I have partnered to ease your financial difficulties. Easier yet I, also known as ABB, pay good money for BJs. $100 to swallowers or a kick in the teeth and $10 if you puke. If you can sing the CHK fight song while I'm creaming your face you get an extra $25.

Top Quartile

Hilcorp Energy, one of the largest privately held oil and natural gas exploration companies in the United States announced that it would give all 1,381 employees a year-end bonus of $100,000 after what the company called a positive year in growth.

Jeffery Hildebrand, the 56-year-old billionaire owner, will pay out more than $100 million in total and reportedly uses these bonuses to motivate his workforce. Forbes reported that five years ago, the Hilcorp gave its employees two options for a bonus: $50,000 towards a car or $35,000 in cash.

This year, the Houston-based company doubled its output again to more than 150,000 barrels each day and, Forbes reported, the bonus was doubled.

"It's just a true gift," Amanda Thompson, a receptionist at the company for 10 years, told Fox 4 News. "Somedays I just kind of look down the hall and say I can't believe these are my bosses, and they’re the best."

Thompson told Fox 4 News some of her employees are using the bonus to retire early, remodel homes , take vacations, and pay for their children's college, she just takes comfort knowing it’s in her bank account for a rainy day.

Hilcorp was named on the 2015 'Fortune 100 'Best Companies to Work For' list for the third year in a row.

Bonuses are a reward, not an entitlement, you all better start living within your means

Here is the calculation for 2015 bonuses:

base salary x metric multiplier x bonus % x ZERO.

Merry Christmas!

Oh, services rendered you say. I was under the impression that's what your salary was for. How silly of me. As far as bonus is concerned, I must have been confused by the pay for performance initiative as well as the peer group metrics. I guess that's all just puff and fluff. Sounds like bonuses will be fantastic this year! Probably even pay out twice a year! What a complete disconnect from reality you live in. Is oil still $100/bbl in your fantasy land too?

As much cash as CHK will be shipping to Evercore, they would be better served to drop the hammer prior to issuing any bonus. Although paying a bonus based on last year's performance is questionable on its' own.
