i am sitting in p&t in woodcreek. One of my colleague left while doing pip one month ago. After he left, my boss picked me and go through the pip. Is this p&t strategy to cut off the people? Want to share what you heard. Thanks.

PIP = Performance Improvement Plan, if you are underperforming they give you one more 'chance' to get your act straight or so they can fire you and say that despite PIP you did not improve.
