There is talk of an upcoming shuffle in my department with a new floor arrangement due this week I believe. I imagine they are being vague with the timing to align with letting people go. Why move the guy today you're laying off tomorrow? My guess is tomorrow.

Things are not looking good with the price of oil and the stock being down. If APC does not get bought by a major then it will never happen. I will give management credit for not having mass layoffs to this point. Many other execs have folded and sent people out the door. APC has really done a good job of keeping employees to this point, and deserve some credit for that. I hope they offer early retirements and cut contractors before employees. You need to be flexible with what you can and are willing to do these days. Working is a lot better than being on the street with no insurance or paying COBRA. No one is hiring in the oil patch, so we better count our lucky stars.
