Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Dear lesson learned idiot below:

ZENITH IS DEAD. What you all just saw is the first tier of a multilevel strategy. The DOE will save face and ECMC will profit greatly. Bit by bit near future RIFs, closures and farming students out to the few schools that will honor our worthless credits is the master plan. Period. End of story.

@ Frustrated, thank you for your thoughtful post. I think the company can do a better job communicating these changes in a more specific manner. Maybe this will be a conversation of discussion during the leadership meeting that will be held in February. I believe the following will help our enrollment numbers:

Less dependency on national marketing; moving towards program specific local marketing. Restructuring of online; online students will be "attached" to ground schools. We'll start to see traction with the community services and local marketing dollars that are being allocated to all campuses. With this, there should be an increase in referral generation. Continued phase out of old CCI programs, to ones that he local markets demand. Try to hang in there. Like I said, I don't know if it's going to work, but I believe it will.

@EPbXvwS-gov: What positive changes? Unless enrollment improves dramatically and quickly, we will continue to shrink and decline. What definitive action has management taken to improve enrollment? The easiest and most obvious thing that should have been done last Feb is to change the name. Why was that not done? I cannot see anything that qualifies as meaningful, effective change in terms of enrollment strategy. Any other minor, superficial tweaks they have made are just that - and those adjustments do nothing to address root issues. I, too, want to see ZEG survive a d be successful. So far, executive management has given me many reasons to doubt, and none to be hopeful. Faith and hope are good things. Faith in God,. Hope for your children. Faith and hope in ZEG? Not so much.......

^ Thank you. Why do the trolls keep saying that Zenith is closing when they are making all of these changes, mostly positive ones? My guess is that the trolls on here don't work for Zenith and have no idea what is really happening on the inside. Either that or they are indeed worthless negative employees who are hoping for the worst.

Ouch--that really hurt :-/

JK! Hey, look--full disclosure...

I'm one of those kool-aid drinking, current employees, who really wants ZEG to be successful. I think it will be, but I don't know for certain. Seems to me that the additional restructuring made good business sense. They have made improvements in the 401k and insurance programs. Eligible employees will receive merit pay increases in January. Doesn't seem to me that these are things a company would be doing if they weren't planning on being around for a while. Then again, many on this site are probably sitting in their basements with aluminum foil on their heads, trying to keep the government from reading their minds. We just simply have a different opinion my friend. You used "our" in your post. God, I hope you're not working for ZEG. If you are, you're one of those SLBs who is hanging around, collecting a check because you either can't find another job or no one will pay you what your making now because you're a worthless POS. You don't have the talent or courage to do anything else.
