Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

TD does not have an excess of SAs that just sit around. In fact they seem to all be stretched pretty thin. All I can think of is are they eliminating the SA layer or something? Are these people who didn't want to go to a certain region? What vertical was this? Any details help.

I am a Solution Architect at Teradata and was given my notice today. I know of other SA's as well as some sales people.

Solution Architects would not be let go as they are the knowledge base of Teradata. If Teradata gets bought out they would be most needed by the buying organization....So no RIF for Solution Architects.

Thats already happening.
