On the upside, I work as an individual contributor at HP, and in the USA, and I received both a raise and a bonus last year. No raise this year, though I did receive a bonus. My manager, and his manager, appear to appreciate my presence. I'm guessing that the overall lack of rewards is not their plan, but that they are compelled based on higher directive.
On the downside, I took the time to review insider trading for the past 24 months. What I found (Yahoo finance) is that 30 HP insiders, sold $2 Billion in stock over the last 2 year period. This works out to $66M per person. During the same period, the HPQ company net profit was roughly $2 Billion.

How about this you freaking ahole who opened this post. I learned today, that after 20 yrs with this company and over 5 yrs of no FREAKIN RAISE that once again my raise is 0%. Not only that but I was told the ENTIRE US is getting the same thing. Only those countries where HP 'PREFERS' to do business and have employees are getting raises. Also NO F---ING VPR,,,, All that says to me is it is time to leave. HP DOES NOT WANT US, UK, or anyone worth their shit as an employee. They ONLY CHEAP F---ING LABOR. F--- HP and the Meg Whitman CUNT that is getting millions for laying off and demoralizing anyone worth a damn who is left.

The first thing I do every morning when I come in is check the Terminations report to see if my name is on it. This is a fact of life here. Terminations are happening steadily and have been for years now. When you constantly fear for your job or just as bad fear extra work when a fellow employee goes and you get stuck with their work or when your tickets will never get resolved because the programmers or DBAs have been let go there is going to be constant gossip and rumors. It is to the point where I would welcome WFR as the tools I need to work are broken and will never be fixed because there is no one left capable of fixing them. Maybe HP should get it over with, do all the WFR now and let the remaining people get back to work. Just a little note, I totally understand offshoring or best shoring but replacing an American Data Base Administrator with a young girl who is a spreadsheet expert in Costa Rica or a project manager with a L1 telephone support technician fresh off the phones does not work.
