Been really quite the last couple of weeks. Anyone hearing of Layoffs in December?

There is no calm only storm. More layoffs. We haven't even reached the percentage we are required to. We haven't even made it half way. It will definitely be close to 900k by 12/31/2015 our goal is 1 mil
Please don't think that the lay offs are finished for 2015 and please don't think that 2016 is going to improve. I am not in all the right circles but I have been told a major task is at hand. Rumors are flying, FMC purchase, Weatherford putchase, letting go of PFT, bankruptcy of Rig Solutions and the list goes on and on. I don't know what is going to happen nor do I claim to but a storm is brewing. It's not pretty and tension at PWC. This may be the calm before the storm, make sure you have your PPE.

During the 2008 slowdown NOV in Canada delayed layoffs until after Christmas. There was a mass layoff on the first business day in 2009
While the rest of the oil industry is on a downward spiral till 2017?! I think you are incorrect. Seeking Alpha does not see NOV improving at all.
