Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are simply not fair

There is a lot of anger in my group, a lot of it (it's kind of mixed with anxiety and shock) - I know some folks who worked for State Street for over 20 years and now they are being laid off without real reason - there is a thousand other things that we could have done in order to save some of the jobs we lost, especially for people who devoted their careers to this ungrateful company that's discarding them like some junk right now.

Being a loyal hardworking employee of 15, 20,25,30 years hasn't meant anything to State Street for the last 14 years

How many critical workers had to sleep at the motels or trudge their way in during snow storms .

While a lot of the hmmm higher ups worked from their home offices.

If money is so tight how on earth did they find the money to build a new 11 story office building on the Boston Waterfront ???

Oops I forgot paid through layoffs

You mean another option the CEO could take a pay cut to save loyal hard working employees?

I've been told (sarc) that if you want loyalty get a dog.

Disgraceful that the pay scale already is low compared to competitors to rub salt in the wound with constant layoffs is inhumane
