Layoffs will continue. Business will slow down even more through March 2016 making matters much worse. Oil prices isn't picking back up anytime soon. If it does it will be mid 2017 at around $50 to $55 bbl. the days of $90-$100 bbl are long gone.
Layoff is inevitable. Third Quarter Earnings report comes out Wednesday and NOV Stock will plummet.
Common guys, don't worry too much because there will be no more laying off. Petrobas Brazil cancelled about $3B with NOV, but NOV has so much money so it could survive without any major layoff. So far no major layoff is being seen at NOV Orange, CA. But, the writing is on the wall everywhere, the pressure is on, and there will be lot of disgruntle employees!
Look at Guys!!
How you do when backlogs run out!??
W/o new orders!

No, we have 5 million in parts coming through the door on Monday so get ready for overtime!!
