Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

HP morale permanently damaged

I cant see how HP will survive. Most of the best got out by volunteering or getting a new job. Morale is so bad now, it borders on unbelievable. Having been through other company layoffs its obvious most people have been spoiled here and have never faced adversity in either their personal or professional lives. Sorry, you didnt know the truth. The HP Execs making the decisions on high dont care about you. You are simply a resource, row well and live.

I cant see how HP will survive. All the talented people have gone. There is not a single programmer that can fix any one of the thousands odd things wrong with our web sites and applications. If we report random numbers instead of using he formulas we contracted with the customers someday all this will become public and HP will not get any contracts with major companies and certainly not with governments a they need the illusion that they are dealing with a 100% honest company. Unethical at the least and most likely illegal in most countries.

Seriously? You have no idea what kinds of adversity people have faced.

Many of us have great clients and/or co-workers and haven't had a reason or situation bad enough to cause us to leave.

We're not all a bunch of hot-house orchids who wilt and die when the climate changes.

Get a grip.

Yes l believe its entirely broken in ES (UKI). It's got to the point that even in the RDC locations you may as well just 'can' everyone and start a new company. There's sand in the gearbox gents!
