If you are laid off, HP will let you use a service that helps with your resume, interviewing skills, etc. That service actually made my resume a lot better. They said to rewrite my resume by bullet-pointing accomplishments instead of just a long list my duties in previous jobs. Plus some other tricks that have worked. Also, when I have issues with my job search, a counselor will meet with me (I've met once. It was a good meeting). They have some online classes (I've taken a couple) and live classes at some locations (I'll probably take a couple). At first I didn't think I'd use the service, but it's been pretty helpful.
