Friends and Family of HP - this is OUR UNIQUE COMMUNITY we have managed to establish here - we can control the dialogue here and influence the management's decision (I know for sure they are reading this) - please keep the discussion civil, I see a ton of junk on Intel's board, please do not have this board become another soap box for poorly articulated and profanity laden complaints

And what influence is that pray tell?
These same managers have neither the wit to see the real issues facing the company and the longer term outcome of the current strategy, or the character to influence the company's direction to any meaningful degree.
They are told what to do and they say YES, end of. If you want to save money you could well start with the layers of management that add nothing of their own to the mix.
I see people are talking here about other things as well (not only layoffs) - do we have a forum or discussion group specifically built for HP employees?
