Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

The big picture

If everyone did the job they were hired for and stopped hiding in secret places everything wouldrun correctly. Even instructors play games hiding and leaning on assistants to do their job. Work together people, and put your makeup on before work.

College Professors and Instructors have always leaned on assistants since the beginning of time. This isn't high school!! No wait, assistants in high school are called student teachers.

Many people "just done their job" and things didn't turn out so well for them. When you work for a company that routinely cuts their workforce and reorganizes every three months how can anyone truly believe things will be ok? We all know that January will show another drop in population and what will stop Hawn from right sizing employees again? Just because he said we were at the proper staffing for the population numbers in September that doesn't mean we will be at the proper staffing for January. He made the same statement in April, June and September. He also said there will probably be more programs cut, more school closings and more jobs lost. Sorry but shutting up and doing your job will not make everything ok, there are more disapointments coming for many. There are things you can do to make things better, like updating and sending out your resumes. But coming on here and complaining about your coworkers isn't going to help.

OP: What a simplistic analysis of a very complex situation - "just do your job and everything will be all right." 304 makes good sense for most employees that are currently working for Zenith. In fact, that is the way most employees work for their company. Companies and their employees are a reflection of executive management. There are many, many examples of companies that were run every bit as poorly as Zenith that are no longer around. Dave Hawn appears to be very good at running a collection agency, but is over his head at running an educational institution.

OP: People usually are a reflection of the company they work for. If the company doesn't give a shit about the employees, the employees don't give a shit about the company either.
