Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Whats next for HP? Could we see some ethical change for once?

There's been a lot of anger these past few months over the terrible offers that many employees recieved from Ciber and Adecco. These offers are inconsiderate, unethical, and down right insulting, taking into account that many have spent much of their lives working tirelessly for the company. A lot of people have refused to work under these conditions any longer and rejected these new offers. This no doubt will look terrible on HP and forces them to find new staff since so many are just walking away. Does this mean that those who took these offers could recieve a new, fairer contract? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Nothing ethical about Hurl and Puke since the founding days. Hewlett and Packard cared about PEOPLE.

Margaret Whitman and 4 levels below you- Bitches, you're fired!

We can only dream about ethical change - you will have a situation that our leaders will continue to extract profits for themselves. Shareholders will be screwed, everyone will be screwed, employees, vendors and most of all customers. That will continue for a decade or so and we'll end up like Kodak, on the absolute margin of the business universe, not relevant and only serving legacy customers who are to messed up to switch vendors and look somewhere else. In the mean time, you will have characters like Meg who will be spending weeks in Barcelona, Tokyo, Melbourne, doing parties, entertaining 'customers' and spending money. All that while they take 100s of millions of dollars in bonuses and perks. Welcome to Hewlett Packard 2020.
