Thread regarding ECMC layoffs

Education is not a debt collections agency!

Please see that and start running the campuses like a school business! There is a wealth of knowledge in the field so stop trusting everything the inexperienced RVPO's are saying what is best for schools! We thought CCI was a hot mess, I would take that leadership team back (minus Beth) any day!

I'm not a manager, but I've worked as a risk management analyst for ECMC for about 7 years. Some of my coworkers mentioned this message board, and after reading some posts here... You have more "hope" in your school or campus than is probably realistic. I've been with this company long before the CCI buyout, and am well aware of the funds expended for these Zenith schools. But allow me to share perspective for those of you working for Zenith schools: if your colleges fail we (ECMC) stand to increase annual profits significantly through the student loan credit processing we'll perform. You say education is not a "debt collection agency"- well, surprise: ECMC is. Also, this is a business in the business of making money. I'm sorry, but we don't care if your school closes, if your students complete their degree or not- ECMC is a business, not a charity.

CCi was in it for the money not education. ECMC knows nothing about managing educational institutions. Zenith is nothing more than a spin off of CCi combined with a debt collector and backed by the DOE.
