HP Split: What is a growth strategy for the two new companies?

After 22 years here, I am perplexed and utterly puzzled. Such a big move, breaking HP into two parts, it's massive and very complicated operation. But what two parts of HP will do in order to grow? What is a growth strategy for the two new companies? Nobody seems to be asking this question, in my mind, this is at the center of any discussion that will need to happen as it relates to HP. Without such a strategy, any restructuring plan is doomed to end up in the decline and the company will not thrive. On the contrary, all that you can expect is that things go south. We had many massive strategic moves over last decade or so. Each move was followed by scores of layoffs of pristine talent, some even improved short-term profit margins and somewhat helped leadership to buy just a bit of time. Yet, over and over, all of them failed to propel the company forward and grow revenues. I am very concerned that this new move will be even worse and that it will represent a death blow to Hewlett Packard. My two cents only.
