Everyone is in danger, if your numbers drop for more than two quarters you may be in trouble. UTX tend to move quickly as they manage cash flow very strictly, it's good for shareholders but may not be good for employees. Sometimes they cut too deep and that results in a number of problems later as there are not enough people to do actual work. I hope 2015 and 2016 stay stable and without major cuts. United Technologies always cuts so you cannot avoid that but overall you may be in a good shape.

The long term (5 years <) plan is to get out of Connecticut. Loose the unions and manage the decline nice and quietly. UTC Aerospce (formerly Hamilton) is expensive, unproductive and plans are to move to a better business environment. Plan accordingly.
Any layoffs on the horizon???
Bruce Burden is now taking the national service team to a new level. They stopped hiring from the UA local halls and will interview people for 50% of the current rate. Can you say drunks and drug addicts showing up for jobs.
The BIS customers pay large dollars for highly trained technicians.............This will not end well!
Any news on fire and security business?
The layoffs continue in UTC /CCS more jobs lost in Midwest region. This after several department closings and layoffs in fall 2015. The layoffs continue. No one is safe. The layoffs will continue until cash flow is met.
It can happen to anyone with little or no notice. It is a bad situation to be in and not a good time to be an employee with CCS division. The only division right now that is losing ground and no turn around in the near future.
There were layoffs for office workers in Indy on Thursday, January 21st. I heard other manufacturing sites including Mexico were also impacted. It happened very quickly with no follow-up communication or explanation. Engineering, HR, Customer Service and Materials staff, some with a lot of seniority.
Good luck
