Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Another RVPO gone and what about the 17th

Randy Rogers was let go. To me that means this region is going to get hammered with closures. Your thoughts? (Pac NW)

And posts about the 17th bringing bad news? Just tear the bandaid off and let us know already. Frankly I am pretty sure but the naivety of my colleagues is mind blowing.

Consolidation is equal to loss of jobs. Who wants to have 2 campus presidents, 2 deans etc. I hope you get the point. Consolidation is much better than teach out. However, teach out is coming up soon.

Consolidation means jobs will be lost. That's the whole idea of consolidating, closing schools and trimming staff. Also, Zenith does not "Lay Off" employees, they terminate them. If population would ever increase to the point of hiring, you could apply for an open position as a new employee starting at the bottom.

I get the consolidation piece but what is not being shared is that consolidation doesn't mean everyone gets to keep their job. It means your crap outta luck. If a campus is consolidated with its neighbor then that means you have a job when population increases.

I really can't keep posting on here, due to risk of exposing myself to corporate; be assured that the Wa area will not be entirely closed, but consolidated as I posted last week. The next phase consist of consolidating schools and closing the economic campuses, so don't believe the hype of complete collapse. Besides, why would Zenith close shop, when ECMC stands to make a ton of money, after year 7 and has goverenment funding guarantees and incentives, to make Zenith a success.

This does not mean more closures for the NW. From what I heard from our new RVPO, they are balancing locations by Region to a more reasonable level.

The curtains dropped a while ago for the Zenith show. I am sure your suspicions are 100% correct. Please exit orderly and quietly to your local unemployment office.
