Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

The list

Why doesn't someone share the list they were given in their severance package. The one that I was told has the job title, salary grade, and age of all effected this round. Of course minus all the people that will be displaced post MOR

Anything below a three year average of 1.03 is "low performance ". The list of separations is confidential.

A lot of us are not being cut for performance. My IPF is 1.0? I didn't think that qualifies as low performance. But who the hell knows. I just feel pretty screwed all the way around.

It's because they are betting that oil makes a return. They don't want to pay someone big bucks to leave then turn around and pay a huge signing bonus to bring them back. They also don't want to reactivate the pension. Someone once said us oil and gas workers are like cockroaches... they can always fine more after they kill the first one (and for less pay too ). Besides if a company cuts you for low performance then they wouldn't take you back anyways.

Maybe the list is fictitious. I just heard rumors about it. My husbands says he can't come back either?!? Why?? I don't understand that at all. They said he can only come back if he declines severance package and resigns before layoff date.

I'm looking through mine. I don't see any list. I do see where I can never return.
